Kashuu Kiyomitsu – Touken Ranbu

About this costume:

It’s been a while since I last fell in love with a character so much! Kashuu’s character design, personality and attitude really got me! His story is so sad and dramatic, it’s impossible not to love him!
It was fun to make the bracers but after sewing the detailed leather parts by hand I cursed a lot and was more than happy to finish them! I already had the black fabric at home but had to buy the diamond lining and the flower pattern fabric, so the costume became quite expensive nevertheless. The diamond lining was designed by myself with photoshop and printed onto the fabric. Sewing in the lining without ruining the pattern at the seams was a difficult job. I styled three wigs for him because I couldn’t decide and I also have three swords in total. (One out of plastic for events, one improvised out of metal and later I bought the original replica.) This amount of effort is probably more than I spend in some other costumes and it only happens when I’m absolutely crazy about a character. I guess this is the first time since Eren that it happend to me. (^^)” But because of this, wearing the cosplay is the biggest fun. Especially when being with dork Yasusada. (^.~)
